The Prints
Fine art prints are created using a professional wide-format inkjet printer and archival pigment inks on a matte 100% cotton rag (300+ gsm).
After testing out numerous paper mediums for the prints, I developed a love of fiber-based art papers for their ability to convey a painterly quality with my images.
Paper prints are the best option for those ordering from overseas or wanting to frame the artwork themselves. A 1" white border is left around every print in order to accommodate different framing options. Every print is individually inspected and packaged using silk gloves prior to shipping.
Note: frame in picture is not included with the purchase of fine art prints, though it and other framing options can be arranged through a custom order.
Canvas Prints (Gallery Wrap)
Ready-to-hang, durable and easy to maintain. 1 1/2" Gallery wrapped canvases are printed using professional inkjet printers and archival cotton-poly canvas of at least 400 gsm. Gallery wraps utilize an image mirror around the artwork's edges, giving each print a three dimensional profile. Slightly more textured than a fine art print, canvas prints boast a warm and timeless quality that leaves an impression.
All finished canvases are individually inspected and packaged using silk gloves prior to shipping. Canvases include all hardware required to hang it on your wall.
Dibond (Frameless Mount)
Ready-to-hang with a modern borderless aesthetic that works a variety of settings. Printed using professional inkjet printers and archival art paper mounted to an aluminum dibond backing. Prints are sealed to protect against humidity and temperature. When compared to a more textured canvas print, dibond prints will have slightly greater detail and fidelity.
All finished dibond mounts are individually inspected and packaged using silk gloves prior to shipping. Dibond mounts include all hardware required to hang it on a wall.
Beetlewood (Floating Frame)
The hand-built custom beetlewood frames are offered for both diabond and canvas at identical price point. The wood has been sourced from a family-run sawmill in the Okanagan area of British Columbia, and represents a uniquely beautiful and sustainable alternative to traditional timber frames. Since the tones and textures of beetlewood change based on the stock, we work to ensure each frame is paired with your print based on colours and tones of the wood. If you have a special request in this regard, please get in touch prior to ordering.
Frames are un-sanded to keep their rustic-looking feel, but have been treated with an application of non-toxic mineral oil in order to seal the frame and enhance the natural tones and textures of the wood. Naturally, the wood will turn slightly more grey and weathered-looking with age.
Beetlewood-framed prints are individually inspected prior to shipping and include all hardware required to hang on a wall.
